Jersey is a stretchy and soft material knitted in a fine thread. Many people think that viscose is a synthetic material – but viscose is made of wood, and the result is a durable natural material. We have chosen to produce our JERSEY styles in Lenzing™ ECOVERO™ viscose quality. ECOVERO™ viscose is a more environmentally friendly and sustainable material than conventional viscose.ECOVERO™ viscose is produced with up to 50% less water and energy consumption compared to conventional viscose production. The wood fibers come from FSC or PEFC certified forestry, pesticides are prohibited, trees are replanted, and the strict environmental requirements also certify the viscose with the EU Ecolabel, which is the EU’s environmental label due to its unique environmental properties.Our jersey fabric preserves its softness wash after wash, and we recommend not using fabric softener as well as not tumble drying the material. Tumble drying jersey is an unnecessary strain on the environment – the material can feel rigid right after washing, but as soon as it dries, it’s soft and comfortable again. We recommend hanging the jersey up on a hanger so that you don’t have to iron it and can save energy at the same time. We use the same high-quality jersey for all our brands; Henriette Steffensen Copenhagen, Carl by Steffensen, and Growing Up by Steffensen.
The jersey material is produced in a carefully selected factory in Portugal and the cutting and sewing of the material are carried out in Lithuania. HSCPH’s jersey designs are thereby 100% European produced and certified under OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 cert. no. 2176-347 DTI
EXCHANGES AND REFUNDS
We would like to ensure your complete satisfaction with the items you have bought from this Web site. If however you wish to return or exchange an item(s) please contact our customer services department and state whether an exchange or refund is required.
- We will accept items not worn, used or damaged.
- Refunds cannot be given on Gift cards.
- You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning your item.
- Please ensure we receive the goods within 14 days of their dispatch.
- For us to process your request it is essential that you also include a copy of your invoice.
Once your goods have been accepted your exchange or refund will be completed within 10 working days. Unless we have sent you incorrect, damaged or faulty goods we regret the cost of postage and packaging cannot be refunded to you.
We can only refund the card you originally used for payment.

Please send the item via a guaranteed delivery service, as we cannot be held liable for any goods lost in transit to us. Please state whether an exchange or refund is required. Once your goods are accepted back into stock you will be issued with an exchange or refund. Alternatively, if you wish to return or exchange your item you can take them, with your sales receipt, into our shop in the Winthrop Arcade, Cork.
We are unfortunately unable to offer a refund or exchange on sale items. This does not affect your statutory rights.
